I want to introduce you to Annabelle. When I found Annabelle she was tied to a mail box in the hot sun, severely dehydrated, emaciated, covered in ticks and had an injured leg.
I didn't want to call animal control because I knew they would put her down as most places will not adopt pit bulls.
She weighed 16 pds the day I rescued her. The Vet gave her 600 mL IV fluid and on Day 3 she weighed 30 pds.
She is doing great now and has re-gained the use of her leg. Annabelle is so affectionate and has a very special place in my heart. She is about 1 1/2 yrs old according to the Vet.
I was hoping to keep keep her, but unfortunately because of her previous abuse (bait dog for dog fights) , has some aggression toward our other dog, Ozzy and our two cats. We also have a 3 1/2 year old daughter so keeping her unfortunately is not an option.
I have to find her a loving home. If you know of anyone who doesn't have any kids and doesn't have any other animals and wants a loving, attentive and playful companion, please call me or e-mail me.
